For eight wonderful days in mid-September Ettore, Ferdinand, Gianni and Riccardo kept me company, chasing the highest passes in Europe, a somewhat crazy itinerary, driving on claustrophobic roads that apparently led nowhere, in a succession of mountains that seemed to never end ...... patient cloud hunters, for no apparent reason, resigned to the certainty that pushed them towards the next panorama which was never the last !!
Will it have been worth it ??
