HOLLAND

An old popular saying goes: "God created the world, but not Holland". And in fact this is an irrefutable reality: without a natural barrier formed by sand dunes, and well over 1000 km. of dams, nearly 30 per cent of its territory, would in fact be under the relentless waters and humors of the North Sea.
